Buyer holds and final sale

Deposits, Final Sale, and Refund Policy

How refundable deposits work before Flawless confirmation, and when final jewelry and watch sales become final.

Effective date

May 20, 2026

Deposits hold a buyer's place while Flawless reviews the piece. Once final terms are accepted and the piece is paid for, released, picked up, or shipped, the sale is final except where required by law.

Please review the listing page and these terms before requesting a hold or completing payment.

When a deposit is required

Some listings require a refundable deposit at the moment a signed-in buyer requests a hold. The listing page will show the deposit amount before checkout. Deposit-required holds are not active until payment is confirmed by the payment processor.

What the deposit does

A deposit helps prevent anonymous or excessive holds on high-value pieces while Flawless confirms availability, condition, source details, timing, verification details, fulfillment method, and final transaction terms.

Refundable review

A deposit remains refundable while Flawless is reviewing availability, condition, timing, authenticity, fulfillment, and final transaction terms. If Flawless cannot confirm those terms, the deposit is refundable and reviewed manually through the original payment method where possible.

Final sale after confirmation

After Flawless confirms the piece, the buyer accepts final terms, and final payment or item release is completed, jewelry, watches, special orders, resized items, altered items, and sourced pieces are final sale. Flawless does not offer buyer-remorse returns, exchanges, or refunds after final sale unless required by law or expressly agreed in writing before purchase.

When a hold may be released

A hold may be released if the deposit checkout is abandoned, the piece is no longer available, verification changes, source terms change, or the buyer does not complete required next steps. If a paid deposit must be released before final sale, Flawless will review the refund path manually.

California display note

Flawless is based in California and displays its refund and final-sale terms on policy pages, listing pages, and checkout-related steps before purchase. Items marked final sale, special order, altered, used, damaged after purchase, or not returned in original condition may be excluded from ordinary return expectations under California refund-policy rules. Buyers should review the listing, deposit language, fulfillment notes, and final-sale terms before placing a deposit or completing final payment.

How to ask about a refund

Refund questions should be sent to Flawless with the buyer name, email, listing title, reservation or order reference if available, and a short explanation. Refund review timing may depend on the payment processor, card network, shipping status, and whether the sale had already become final.
